- Todd Haynes' Bob Dylan biopic is finally ready to go. No word as to who will play Charlie Daniels.
- Axl Rose got sick the other night, so Sebastian Bach took over for him. Will my dream of a Guns N' Roses without any original members come true?
- Paul McCartney is releasing another classical-music record. It's an oratorio based on themes from Flaming Pie.
- Ludacris has cut off his hair to show that he's making a new start. What's next, an oratorio based on Chicken N Beer? Or maybe Word of Ralph Mouf?
- Russia will be spared a Clapton gig.

I am sure you have been over this before, but could you explain your aversion to Clapton? I am not a fan of his, just curious. If this has been discussed in a past post, could you just point me toward it? Thanks Jason.

I can't claim that it's anything more than an arbitrary hatred. But I just find his playing extremely boring, and almost all his songs are terrible. I do like Cream fairly well, but I think that's because all that English blues business is counteracted by the rest of the band. But like I say, I probably just got up on the wrong side of the Clapton bed.
I don't know what an oratorio is but i think Lou Reed should do one as well. As for Clapton, the guy has put out a lot of shitty albums but Layla is a great one and his playing on the Concert For George is very good. That doesn't mean you have to like him. I'm not all that fond of Led Zeppelin but that doesn't mean they suck. Does it?
agreed
