Hear, hear. I read that a while ago on Slate and was appalled. (Reading Slate isn't very advanced either though.) That is some of the most overt bullshit I have ever read. He is trying way too hard to be aloof. Assailing an advanced piece of art like Fletch is probably one of the most overt things one can do.
Also, I believe Poon is Scotch/Romanian.
