Pixies to Play What You Tweet on Jimmy Fallon Show

From thetripwire.com:
The Pixies are currently in the throes of the North American leg of their Doolittle tour, a wormhole of a trek we’ve been quick to spill much digi-ink over in these parts recently. Via an e-mail from the band’s publicist, we’ve just learned that the band will sandwich in an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon next week when they come to New York for four sold-out nights at Hammerstein Ballroom.
I like this. (Too much facebook!) The picture for the article is not quite up to date, though.

Hey this isn't related to The Pixies, but I have a question for you. Is the new Bob Dylan Christmas album "Christmas In the Heart" an example of an advanced move?

Ben,

Check out the archives for September and October. Jason devotes a couple of posts on the Chistmas album.

Teacherfriend.

Having listened to the Bob Dylan xmas album, watched the video, and even played the whole record for a room full of unwitting thanksgiving guests eating pie, I would have to call it definitely an Advanced record

OK, here's a Pixies question. Was it an Advanced move on their part to have "Weird" Al Yankovic play live with them in L.A.? He sang "I Bleed" off Doolittle at their Echoplex performance.

Jason Hartley said...

Yes, including Weird Al is Advanced but only because he is a great musician.

Awesome! I knew it! Weird Al is advanced, I think. I don't understand how ridiculous his music is, but again, I guess that's the point.

Hey Jason, by the way, as an avid follower of Advancement Theory, how do you feel about Weezer? New album features guest vocals by Lil' Wayne, and production by the guy that works with The Jonas Brothers. Do these guys just suck now, or are they advancing?
