Curt Kirkwood: Not Just a Puppet
According to billboard.com, Curt Kirkwood is working on a solo record: "[Kirkwood] has signed to Little Dog Records. Kirkwood has recently been in the studio working with Grammy-winning producer/Little Dog founder Pete Anderson to create his first album as a solo artist. The as-yet-untitled set marks the second artistic collaboration between Kirkwood and Pete Anderson, who produced the Puppets' 1991 major-label debut, 'Forbidden Places.'" I can't listen to the Meat Puppets for very long at a time, but they made really good music. Plus, they got me interested in Gene Autry.
